Dimensions
Dimensions can be regular dimensions (such as Product Dimension, Customer Dimension, Location Dimension, etc.) as well as special dimensions (such as Time Dimension, Scenario Dimension, Cycle Dimension, Lag Dimension, Level Dimension, etc.).
Time dimensions enable a hierarchy of time attributes: Day, SysWeek, Week, Month, Quarter, Year, etc. as well as non-calendar based period types (Fortnightly buckets, Fiscal Periods, etc.).
Level dimensions combine unique attributes from hierarchical dimensions, time dimensions, and potentially cycle and lag dimensions. Level dimensions also define which attributes act as key attributes. Multiple Measures can be attached to a specific level dimension.
Dimensions combine a subset of attributes to form a natural hierarchy within vyan.ai. For example, Product Dimension may be defined with the following attributes: Product ID, Product Group, product Family, Business Unit.
Dimension maintenance involves selecting a sub-set of existing attributes, defining which attributes form the key to store dimension records, if attribute values are required or optional (when not key), and dimension specific details notes.
Dimensions are attached to a unique Enterprise and Model.
