The cockpit — the home page of VYAN

The Driver Seat is the home page of VYAN — not a dashboard for reporting after the fact, an operating cockpit for governing the policy. Four zones serve four jobs. The Operational Pulse header is current state — EVA, service, working capital, plan stability, with delta from yesterday. Today's Signals is what changed overnight — what the Mode 1 stochastic run recommended, with the trade-offs surfaced. The autonomous/pending split is the human-AI boundary made visible — what auto-committed overnight under the policy, what's waiting for human review. The recent activity timeline is the continuous log of events, decisions, and conversations the system has handled.

The same cockpit serves the planner, the CSCO, and the CFO with different default framings. The planner sees today's pending queue first — the dozen material decisions that need their judgment. The CSCO sees the pulse header and the frontier link — the posture-level view. The CFO sees the PVA accumulation and the EVA distribution — the dollarized view. Same data, different lens, no separate dashboards to maintain.

SAGE lives in the right pane of the cockpit. Every cockpit element is a conversation entry point — click on a number, ask a question. "Why is plan stability down today?" SAGE traces the answer through the audit trail. "Show me which commits broke their resilience projection this week." SAGE pulls them from State. The cockpit is read and ask, not just read. What the cockpit isn't: a control tower. A control tower visualizes execution state without producing decisions. The Driver Seat visualizes the same state plus the decision the system has already produced (or is recommending) for every event in view. The difference is decisions on the surface, not decisions deferred to whoever's looking.
