The bootcamp + value pilot

Weeks 1-4 stand up the policy on your data. Weeks 5-12 prove the PVA. Months 4-12 scale across the stakeholder map.

VYAN deploys in a bootcamp + value pilot structure with progressive stakeholder activation across the twelve roles from chapter 7. Three phases: bootcamp (weeks 1–4), value pilot (weeks 5–12), scale (months 4–12).

Weeks 1–4 — Bootcamp. The CIO and IT team load the customer's data. Executives configure the Decision Policy in a workshop — CEO, CFO, COO, CSCO each contribute to their respective framings. Planners and Operations validate the integration against their actual workflows. The first stochastic Mode 1 solves produce the EVA baseline. The bootcamp deliverable is a configured policy running on the customer's data with the baseline PVA computed and the success criteria for the value pilot dollarized.

Weeks 5–12 — Value Pilot. VYAN runs alongside the customer's existing planning stack on selected Workspaces — typically one or two product families or one geography. PVA is measured weekly. The Delta PVA against the customer's existing solve becomes the proof point. During this phase Sales, Marketing, and Finance are progressively onboarded into the cockpit and the relevant policy surfaces. The success criteria from the bootcamp get validated against realized performance.

Months 4–12 — Scale. Additional Workspaces. Additional decision classes (start with replenishment, add allocation, add pricing, add scheduling). Customer collaboration channel onboarded with the top customers contributing 80% of revenue. Supplier collaboration channel onboarded with tier-1 suppliers. Contract manufacturers and 3PLs progressively activated. The migration from the incumbent planning stack completes as PVA evidence accumulates. The customer keeps their incumbent through value pilot; the retirement decision is evidence-driven, not vendor-driven.

Success criteria. The bootcamp produces specific success criteria for the value pilot — dollarized PVA targets per KPI family, resilience thresholds, autonomy envelope expansion milestones, stakeholder activation checkpoints. Hitting them triggers scale; missing them triggers a posture review and either an adjustment or, rarely, an honest conversation about whether VYAN is the right fit for this specific business. The honesty discipline runs end-to-end — the bootcamp doesn't oversell, the value pilot measures rigorously, the scale phase commits only against evidence.
